Location:
Find M5 by panning just 8° from α Ser in the direction of μ Vir to where a line between those two stars is intersected by a line between η Boo and μ Ser.

What You Should See:

M5 is one of the better globulars for binoculars. Although it does not seem as bright as M13, it appears slightly larger.
