Mounting

trigger-grip Handheld Grip Head

Trigger-grip head - combined with a monopod, it makes a great combination for binocular mounting.
The accompanying instructions are deficient, so I have written some proper ones here.

Basics tripod and trigger-grip AmazonBasics Tripod with Pistol Grip Head 70 Inches Adjustable

Very good value combination: you can pay more for the pistol-grip alone. You can just extend one leg of the tripod to use it as a monopod.
The accompanying instructions for the head are deficient, so I have written some proper ones here.

Amazon Basics Monopod Amazon Basics Monopod

An inexpensive monopod such as this one is adequate for lightweight binoculars and has sufficient height to be used standing. The only potential problem is that the leg clamps are not adjustable so, if they work loose, they cannot be tightened.

Manfrotto 290 Monopod Manfrotto 290 Monopod - Black

A higher quality monopod like this one has adjustable leg clamps and will last longer, so will be a better purchase in the long term. It is possible to replace the rubber ferrule with a spiked foot.

thread adaptor 1/4" to 3/8" Camera Thread Adaptor for Tripods/Monopod

Required for attaching 38" accessories to tripods/monopods with a 14" mounting screw.

Paragon Plus w/o tripod Orion Paragon-Plus Binocular Mount without Tripod

Parallelogram mounts (P-mounts) hold the binocular away from the tripod, so that your legs and the tripod's do not compete for space.

Paragon Plus with tripod Orion Paragon-Plus Binocular Mount and Tripod

Parallelogram mounts (P-mounts) hold the binocular away from the tripod, so that your legs and the tripod's do not compete for space. The tripod is sturdy enough to support the mount and binoculars at least up to 2kg.
